Our Story
In the summer of 2014, fate brought us to the sun soaked shores of Aruba during a trip called The Takeover. Among the laughter, music, and ocean breeze, a simple moment of curiosity sparked something extraordinary. What began as a small talk quickly unfolded into something deeper.
An ease, a spark, a sense of familiarity that neither of us could ignore.
August swore that Nuguent sent his buddy over on his behalf - but the truth? - she was due for the hot seat after a lively conversation the night before. August told all who would listen that I sprinted after the bus upon her departure. Those moments, playful and unexpected, set the tone for everything that followed. Honest, magnetic, and full of laughter.
Though we lived miles apart, we found joy in long conversations that stretched late into the night. We shared stories, dreams, and quiet moments that made the distance feel smaller.
